Clifford
The DNA matches through the Griffin line
confirm the Clifford story
- that this family is related to the
Edward of Rossbeigh
family.
There are also DNA matches of the Griffin line
to our Cashel family.
I am not sure what these mean.
Mary Blennerhassett listed as married
(
"sister, Mary Clifford")
in her brother
Rev. Conway Blennerhassett's

Two of her brothers were Protestant clergy.
Her descendants had a family story that she was
disowned by her family for her "inappropriate marriage"

This is clearly true.
Her father's will of 1774 says he leaves to
"unfortunate dau. Mary one British shilling and no more."
