Capt. John Franklin.

Captain in 90th Regiment.
He mar 1809 to Anna Krause.
Lived Greenhills, Co.Limerick. Greenhills is just S of Lemonfield, near Kilpeacon, Knocknagaul par (just S of Limerick), Co.Limerick.
He died 1833.
They had issue:


  1. Peter Franklin,
    of Greenhills, Co.Limerick.
    He mar Anne Minchin.
    He apparently died pre-1865.
    Anne and children emigrated to New Zealand in 1865.
    They had issue:


    1. Mary Franklin,
      Mary Elizabeth Cuffe Franklin ["Cliff" is an error], eldest dau.
      She mar 7 Mar 1867 to her 1st cousin John Cashel and had issue.
      They mar at Isabella Villa, Onehunga, Auckland, New Zealand.

    2. Annie Franklin.
      She mar 1stly, 17 July 1867, to Henry Cashel and had issue.
      Henry died 1870.
      She mar 2ndly, 1872, to William Walker and had issue.
      Annie and William are ancestors of:

      • Kathleen Rau.
        She mar Desmond Wicks.
        She is researching family tree.

      and of:

      • Martin Gascoigne.
        He is researching family tree.


  2. Jane Anne Franklin.
    She mar 1stly to Richard Sherlock [of the 62nd Regiment].
    He died. Will pr 1839.
    She mar 2ndly, 15 Feb 1840, to George Cashel and had issue.
    They mar at Limerick CoI cathedral. See notice in Limerick Chronicle, 15 Feb 1840.

The most obvious person who this might be is Capt. John Franklin, 90th Regiment.
